Gayle and I love exploring new beach destinations—and revisiting our favorites. Over the years, we’ve stood on many shorelines, gazing out at the ocean and, more often than not, stepping in to test the waters. Sometimes the water is chilly, sometimes it’s murky, and sometimes the ocean floor is unexpectedly rocky. But every time, the adventure begins with dipping our toes in.
